The puppies are bonding!! Yay! We had hoped that Bindi would eventually give in and accept Jasper is here to stay and start playing with him, and today that happened! They started off play wrestling, and then she started a game of chase, which was hugely entertaining because she has little legs and is a pro at running on the tiles, but Jasper is like a giraffe on ice and could not keep up! He couldn’t believe that Bindi was finally joining in with his attempts to play together. It didn’t last long; he tried to play again later on but she wasn’t interested, haha. He needs to learn that it’s always on a woman’s terms!
It was so sweet seeing them snuggled up like this in the evening. Hopefully this is the start of a beautiful friendship!
Matt’s getting in all the practice he can before Baby Mac pops out in anything between 3-7 weeks! And Bindi looks like she’s been eating some chocolate butter icing, but I assure you it’s just good old fashioned dirt. Her face was covered in it!
Calum and Maggie are away for the weekend, and Matthew headed off to Edinburgh today for his first Youth Conference Committee meeting, so Bindi had the pleasure of spending the day with Jasper and me!
We headed round to the Morrison’s in the afternoon and took a road trip up to Falls of Shin to see the salmon jumping, and have a scrumptious piece of cake and a coffee in their cafe. Elsie was super excited that Bindi was coming along for the adventure! She loves her, probably because she’s so calm and fluffy and is like a little Ewok Princess dog. Bindi may look a bit grumpy, but she was having a great time, I assure you…Perhaps not when she was stuck in the boot with the top Canine Wrestlers of the world, Darcy and Jasper, but she enjoyed her walk and snuggles, and we made sure the other two saved their wrestling match for the back garden.
Did you know we have gerbils? The animal in this picture is not a gerbil, but she is obsessed with them. Matthew’s parents are with us for the weekend, along with their dog, Bindi, and she’s barely left this spot since they arrived. She’s desperate to make friends, or eat them, I’m not quite sure.
