Just another day in the Macleod Household…heh. Just kidding. I was helping out at Elsie’s 6th Birthday Barbie Party this afternoon! Barbies, stick on earrings, coloured hair chalk and glitter tattoos, what’s not to love!? I currently have a glittery snail tattoo on my hand as I type this…part of me is wondering how long it’s going to stay on for, but another part of me doesn’t want to try scraping it off as it’s such a happy wee snail!
It’s so good being back in the same city as my sister and able to go along to the kids’ parties again! Elsie’s actual birthday isn’t until Sunday…who knows, maybe her and my brother Ali will have another member of the family to share their birthday with…
Today I was asked to put a poster together for a ladies wear sale so I went on to a stock image website and had a look but nothing was catching my eye, so I decided to make my own! I lay my roll of art paper out on the living room floor and grabbed a few goodies from my wardrobe. My new pink maternity top from New Look, embroidered sandals from ASOS sale last year (no longer online but here’s something similar), the headscarf I got from Parfois in Portugal last summer and an Accessorize necklace (not the exact one I have but similar). I then took the image in to Photoshop and put text overlay in the white space at the side. It was a fun task for a Wednesday morning, and it was such a cute outfit I decided to wear it to my birthday lunch with my Mama!
Like yesterday’s photo, this shot is very like an image I took earlier in the year. I’m just surprised at how much pink I was wearing today! And wanted to show you my lovely muddy feet as a result of taking Jasper to the park straight after church. If his ball is involved, he’s got no qualms about stomping all over you to try return or retrieve it. Well, let’s face it, he stomps all over you for many reasons, usually I’m happy to let him, if it’s for mud free snuggles!
Gloves are an essential part of constructing the best ice cream cone, did you know? Haha. I brought the kiddos gloves that Granny had bought them and Elsie didn’t take hers off the whole afternoon. This girl really loves pink! Turns out it’s difficult to roll a dice when you’ve got gloves on. It’s also difficult to put together an ice cream cone…sorry, I was lying at the start, she definitely needed help from Mummy.
I love that we’re half way through February and I’ve already seen these guys three times this year, I hope we continue to see them this often!
