I bought bath bombs and this bath creamer on Saturday and today I had one of the longest baths I’ve ever had, it was wonderful! It probably took me just as long to figure out how to turn the hot water on and wait for the water to heat up beforehand…so I had to make the most of it once I was in! I watched an episode of Downton Abbey, which I’m re-watching right now, and then I listened to some Hypnobirthing music, topping up the warm water as time went on. I would’ve stayed in there all evening too if I wasn’t a shrivelled prune.
I hope this little Bubba loves baths as much as it’s Mumma!
I had a craving for coffee cake after seeing a photo of one on Instagram, and we have plenty baking ingredients to use up before we go on Saturday, so I made Mary Berry’s Cappuccino Cake, with chocolate icing instead of coffee for more of a mocha taste. Could definitely have done with more butter icing…but that’s just cause I loooooove butter icing!
What’s amazing is that I only ate two slices of it; I gave a few slices to our neighbours and then Matthew took half to work for his final day. You should be impressed at my sharing skills.
We’re back on track! I walk round Duthie Park most days, sometimes twice a day, but there’s a small area that I’ve never explored, until today! Jasper often runs up the small hill that this lovely rock garden is on, but I only just realised that there are little pathways amongst it for you to wander around. It was lovely! Jasper wasn’t impressed that I had stopped to photograph this sweet blue flower (which my Mother will no doubt tell me the name of…), instead of throwing the ball for him. It was a pleasant change to our routine walk!
I spotted these tulips on my way in to LIDL’s, £1.89 a bunch, so I couldn’t resist getting a few to scatter around the flat. Love love love. If anyone knows where I can get realistic fake tulips please let me know, so I can have them in the flat all year round!
Happy Mother’s Day to this wonderful woman! We had Mum, Ali and Lena round for a delicious (if I do say so myself) roast beef dinner to celebrate Mum, and she ended up doing the dishes before and after lunch…she just can’t help herself.
I’m very thankful for all that my Mumsy has done for me over the last 28 (and 3/4) years so it is nice to repay her in even the smallest of ways, like a nice dinner with (half) the family, and a random plant from Marks & Spencer’s. Love you, Mumsy! Please can you look after Jasper next weekend?
