How gorgeous are these two!? And how happy are we that the torrential rain and lightning storms took a break for their engagement party!? So so happy!
We had such a lovely afternoon/evening/night out at my aunt and uncles celebrating Sarah and Ollie’s engagement with family and friends. Delicious food made by my uncle, as always, and a fantastic playlist put together by Sarah & Ollie which I will be listening to on a regular basis. So crazy to think Baby Mac will be walking around at their wedding!
Iain’s in town again! Which meant tidying the flat again…and then a delicious dinner at Maggie’s Grill. Couldn’t believe that was the first time we had taken Iain to Maggie’s, from nearly a year of him coming to stay with us before joining his ship. It was most definitely a hit! Iain’s ship is in dry dock in Aberdeen for the next few weeks so we’ll be enjoying his company more often this month, and what’s even more exciting (sorry, Iain) is his fiance, Aaltsje, is able to come over from Lewis for a visit during this trip too! We’ve waited a whole year for this! So, keep your eyes peeled, maybe in a couple of weeks time you’ll be seeing a pretty, Frisian girl on the blog instead of these mugs.
We kept our trip to Glasgow quiet as we were attending Matthew’s cousin, Alison’s, Surprise 30th Birthday at The Corinthian Club on Saturday night. She was most definitely happily surprised! It was such a wonderful night, filled with happy faces, laughter, chatting, dancing, delicious food, cake and lots and lots of jelly beans! I was debating whether I could just tip the whole jar of jelly beans in to the various pockets of my camera bag…I’m impressed to say that I managed to resist doing that, but also a little sad…I’d love some jelly beans right now!
Happy Birthday, Ali! In honour of you, I’m watching Harry Potter as I type this.
