Just another day in the Macleod Household…heh. Just kidding. I was helping out at Elsie’s 6th Birthday Barbie Party this afternoon! Barbies, stick on earrings, coloured hair chalk and glitter tattoos, what’s not to love!? I currently have a glittery snail tattoo on my hand as I type this…part of me is wondering how long it’s going to stay on for, but another part of me doesn’t want to try scraping it off as it’s such a happy wee snail!
It’s so good being back in the same city as my sister and able to go along to the kids’ parties again! Elsie’s actual birthday isn’t until Sunday…who knows, maybe her and my brother Ali will have another member of the family to share their birthday with…
This is what bedtime might look like if you’re pregnant and have a snuggly pooch…
Today was a lovely day, we went out for lunch after church in the morning, and I didn’t have my camera with me…then we hung out with friends after church in the evening, and I didn’t have my camera with me! So instead you’re getting a snapshot of what my nights look like these days.
Matthew bought me a Dreamgenii pillow for my birthday back in June and it’s been my faithful companion ever since. Jasper is quite fond of it also…I regularly find him snuggling in to it!
The aim of the pillow is to support your bump, and legs, but also to stop you from rolling on to your back through the night, as this can disrupt the blood flow to baby, and once baby is here it can be used for breastfeeding. A very thoughtful and practical birthday present!
Happy 8th Birthday, Finlay! Please stop growing up. But if you must continue to grow, please don’t ever stop accepting my hugs.
We were all quite tired after all the partying at Sarah and Ollie’s Engagement party last night so we had a chilled party at Mum’s for Fin’s birthday. Sarah made us a delicious lasagne and baked the birthday cake. Fin had just been outside playing football in the rain with his Dad, hence the crazy hair. Darcy was quite mesmerised by the candle…thankfully she didn’t try to lick the cake! Jasper was no doubt hiding behind a chair because my brother Ali was there and he’s still terrified of him…one year on.
We kept our trip to Glasgow quiet as we were attending Matthew’s cousin, Alison’s, Surprise 30th Birthday at The Corinthian Club on Saturday night. She was most definitely happily surprised! It was such a wonderful night, filled with happy faces, laughter, chatting, dancing, delicious food, cake and lots and lots of jelly beans! I was debating whether I could just tip the whole jar of jelly beans in to the various pockets of my camera bag…I’m impressed to say that I managed to resist doing that, but also a little sad…I’d love some jelly beans right now!
Happy Birthday, Ali! In honour of you, I’m watching Harry Potter as I type this.
