After a scorcher of a day Matthew was quite disappointed when he headed home from work and saw the harr rolling in, having had plans to go somewhere for dinner and sit outside. I suggested heading to Stonehaven for fish n chips in the hopes that the harr wasn’t going all the way down the coast and it was still deliciously warm there…unfortunately I was only half right. The harr was all around Stonehaven, causing the temperature to drop, but the sun was still shining down on the lovely wee village. We got our chips, and sat in the car, reminiscing about our terrible second date…the one where we got stranded in Stonehaven for 8 hours because Matthew’s car broke down, which was hilarious at first, but then the temperature dropped and the banter lessened…we finally got rescued by the AA and went home worrying that there wouldn’t be a third date…but the following day we spoke and reassured the other that we were keen for a third adventure, and here we are!
But, enough about that, let’s get on to the issue that a seagull tried to steal my dinner! Before we got in the car I decided to get my blog photo, balanced my box on the fence beside the beach, and lined up my shot…then got a fright when seagulls started swooping over me and one came down to try peck open my box! I only managed to get one photo, and boy am I glad I captured this hilarious moment (and that my balancing skills were on point)! Passers by were greatly amused. I swiftly picked up my box and headed for cover in the car.
